Greek Leadership Development

ATO National Leadership Workshop

      Fraternity and sorority members get more leadership training and development than the     average college student by attending workshops, retreats, and regional and national conferences/conventions.   Greeks learn about topics such as goal-setting and motivation; interpersonal communication and relationship-building; diversity; conflict resolution; risk management; and community service, they have the opportunity to learn more about their individual leadership skills.   UNK Greek Life offers workshops such as the Greek Leadership Academy (GLA), Greek 101, President's Workshop, IFC/Panhellenic Leadership Retreat @ Camp Comeka, Judicial Board Training, Phired Up Recruitment Workshop, Midwestern Greek Classic Conference (MGCA) and even more.  

In addition to leadership development on campus, Greek Leaders have multiple opportunities to attend regional and national conferences and conventions hosted by their National Organizations who invest both time and money in training their top chapter leaders.

Community Service and Philanthropy Events

Did you know that in one academic year ~ UNK Greeks did nearly 10,000 service hours and helped raise over $60,000 for various local and national non-profit organizations?

 Giving back to the community and raising money for local and national causes is one of the core values of all our Greek Organizations at UNK!   Below are just a few of the Service and Philanthropic Events that the UNK Greeks were a part of!   In addition, the UNK Greek Community believes in supporting one another's service events ~ so fraternity/sorority members not only participate in their own events, but also attend each others!
