UNK All-Sorority Average, Spring 2009 =  3.38 UNK All-Women's Average = 3.06 UNK All-Fraternity Average, Spring 2009 = 3.15 UNK All-Men's Average = 2.73

Scholarship is one of the highest values in the UNK Greek Community, and we are very proud that our chapters continue to promote and push academic excellence from their individual members ~ which explains why GREEK GPAS are significantly higher than the all-male and all-female campus averages!

• In fact, our Greek Organizations have put into place programming to ensure that their members are succeeding in the classroom.    Each individual chapter elects a Scholarship Chairman every academic year whose job is to coordinate their chapter's "Scholarship Program" which may include events such as study tables, monitoring study hours, college major study buddies, individual scholarship meetings, mentoring groups, grade checks and other programs that recognize their members for excellent and improved academic achievement.   

 **This is a Scholarship Bulletin Board that many Greek Organizations may hang in their chapter houses or meeting rooms that recognize members for academic excellence or scholastic improvement!

• You will also find that UNK Greek Organizations provide an excellent study environment during the week.   You will always find the cafeteria areas packed with Greek Students studying with each other because there are always fellow Greeks in the same classes and academic programs ~ more times than not, you will find upper-classmen members as a resource for you in the classroom!

•  But perhaps the most motivating factor to excel is the recognition a member receives for excelling from not only their individual chapter, but the UNK Greek Community as a whole.    Every semester for the past 40 years ~ UNK Greeks have gathered together once per semester for the All-Greek Scholarship Program where Greeks who performed in the classroom are recognized AND the chapters who have the highest chapter GPA are revealed, which is a very prestigious honor within in our Greek Community!    Awards are also given to chapters who have the highest new member GPA and the most improved chapter.
